“Cuvioasa Paraschiva” Sub Piatra Church was built in 1798, as marked on the top of the pronaos door. The church’s fir tree walls, on an oak basis, form a rectangular plan with the unhooked polygonal five-sided apse. The porch is open on the west side and the pavilion bell-tower rests on consoles over the pronaos. The painting of the altar screen and of the apse are dated 1844, and the royal doors, 1842.
Most valuable icons from the old convent are kept in the church today, in Brancovenesc style, such as the 1753 icons “St. Nicholas” and “Virgin Mary and the Holy Child”, still unclearly attributed to mason Gheorghe from Cetatea de Balta. The icons of today’s church date from the end of the 18th century.
